“La próxima edición del Foro Social Mundial (Virtual) será en la semana del 25 de enero de 2021”.
Lo construiremos juntas y juntos.
El Consejo Internacional del Foro Social Mundial, luego de un amplio y productivo proceso de escucha y diálogo a nivel internacional, se reunió los días 10 y 11 de octubre de 2020, y consideró:
1. Los graves y urgentes desafíos de la situación actual que es necesario abordar. enfrentados a nivel global y local;
2. La necesidad, una vez más, de confrontar los intereses del Foro Económico de Davos (que también se realizará virtualmente en el mismo período);
3. El inicio de las celebraciones de los 20 años de la creación colectiva del FSM en enero de 2001;
Decidió:
Realizar la próxima edición del Foro Social Mundial, básicamente virtual, en la semana del 25 de enero de 2021.
Para ello, invita a los movimientos y organizaciones sociales que luchan bajo el lema “Otro mundo es posible” (urgente y necesario), para construir juntos esta próxima edición del FSM, buscando transformarlo en un evento participativo, creativo y, sobre todo, capaz de posibilitar articulaciones y acciones políticas globales y simultáneas, capaces de para hacer frente a las actuales crisis superpuestas del capitalismo, de par en par y agravadas por la pandemia mundial.
Tenemos poco más de tres meses por delante para celebrar juntos este desafiante evento.
Participa en este proceso, programa la semana del 25 de enero de 2021 para intervenir directamente en el Foro Social Mundial (Virtual), y ayuda a difundirlo ahora.
El Consejo Internacional del FSM también reafirmó continuar con una construcción amplia y participativa de un FSM presencial en México, si fuera posible para los últimos meses de 2021 o principios de 2022.

Reunión del Consejo Internacional del Foro Social Mundial los días 10 y 11 de octubre de 2020
Invitation to Virtual World Social Forum 2021:
The International Council of the World Social Forum, after a broad and productive process of listening and dialogue at the international level, met on October 10 and 11, 2020, and considered:
1. The serious and urgent challenges of the current situation that you need to address. faced globally and locally;
2. The need, once again, to confront the interests of the Davos Economic Forum (which will also take place in virtually the same period);
3. The beginning of the celebrations of the 20 years of the collective creation of the WSF in January 2001;
It decided:
To hold the next edition of the World Social Forum, basically virtual, in the week of January 25, 2021.
To do this, it invites social movements and organizations that fight under the slogan “Another world is possible” (urgent and necessary), to build together this next edition of the WSF, seeking to transform it into a participatory, creative event and, above all, capable of enabling global and simultaneous political articulations and actions, capable of coping with the current overlapping crises of capitalism, wide open and exacerbated by the global pandemic.
We have just over three months to go to celebrate this challenging event together.
Participate in this process, schedule the week of January 25, 2021 to intervene directly in the World Social Forum (Virtual) and help spread it now.
The WSF International Council also reaffirmed the continuous wide and participatory construction of a face-to-face WSF in Mexico, scheduled for the last months of 2021 or early 2022.
